| Morris Technologies' (MTI)
Medical Division has extensive expertise in endoscopic, orthopedic
and surgical fields, with specialization in troubleshooting mechanisms
and developing intellectual property. We work exclusively with
medical device manufacturers to design and develop prototype devices. |
MTI also builds components
for short-run manufacturing and pre-clinical studies and fixtures
for reliability testing of components and devices. It also has
a sister company, Rapid Quality Manufacturing (RQM), that employs
laser sintering technology for pre-production and production services. |
DMLS offers unparalleled
advantages because it eliminates tooling, makes parts with complex
internal and external geometries in a single operation and produces
multiple parts at the same time. It lends itself to a variety of
applications in the medical field, such as components for short-run
manufacturing, inserts for injection molding and orthopedic products — including
implants and delivery systems used to assist in surgeries. |
As the global leader in
DMLS capability, MTI is on the forefront of new developments and
applications, serving as a beta site for the newest DMLS materials
and super alloys. The company operates seven DMLS machines, six
of which feature the latest generation of DMLS technology. |
